Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually ask before their dog's first groom. Can't find your answer? Call us on 0421 663 408.
Do you really do everything from the van?
Yes. The van is a complete mobile salon with its own hot water, power and a warm hydrobath, so we don't need anything from your home, not even a power point or a hose. We just need a spot to park out the front or in the driveway.
Does my dog go in a cage?
Never. It is one-on-one the whole time, just your dog and the groomer. There are no cages and no other dogs in the van, which is a big part of why it is so low-stress.
Do I need to be home?
It is best to be home for the first groom so we can meet you and your dog and chat through the style you want. After that, many regulars are happy to leave us to it as long as we can access your dog safely.
How long does a groom take?
Most full grooms take around 60 to 90 minutes depending on your dog's size, coat and how settled they are. Because it is one dog at a time, your pup is never left waiting around.
My dog is nervous or elderly, is that ok?
Absolutely. Gentle, low-stress grooming is what we do best. We take extra time, give plenty of breaks and go at your dog's pace. Just let us know when you book so we can allow for it.
How often should my dog be groomed?
As a guide, most coated breeds do well with a full groom every 6 to 8 weeks, with a bath and tidy in between. Short-coated breeds can go longer. We are happy to suggest a routine for your dog.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Highton and cover Geelong and the Bellarine, including Waurn Ponds, Belmont, Newtown, Geelong, Leopold, Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads. Not on the list? Get in touch, we may still reach you.
How do I pay?
Pay on the day by card, cash or bank transfer, whatever suits you. There is nothing to pay when you book online.
